One way the New York¨Cbased advocate chapter promotes human rights is by attending the Athlete Ally Action Awards. Athlete Ally is an organization working to ¡°ensure everyone has equal access, opportunity, and experience in sports¡ªregardless of your sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression.¡± Their mission is to ¡°end homophobia and transphobia in sports and to activate the athletic community to exercise their leadership to champion LGBTQ equality.¡±
